20 Years

Yesterday, September 29, made it 20 years since Terri Gustely(Brooke's mother) had passed away. We made it a memorable day by taking a rose to the Provo temple and leaving it on one of the fountains. In the afternoon we went up to a friends cabin high in the Wasatch mountains and spent the evening there with them. We bought purple flowers and planted them in the forest near their cabin. The colors were amazing, there was a mix of aspen trees which have white bark and light yellow leaves, and dark green pine trees. The purple flowers were perfect in this setting! We know they won't last throughout the winter up there but I think it was the act that made it worth while. This day is no longer a day of mourning, but a day of remembering the plan of salvation and why we have this precious doctrine. Death is not the end, but a new beginning!
